60. Years. Young.: ‘She Is The Backbone Of Our Family’

Anna Maria Stoerrle. She is the most family-oriented woman who puts her husband and children before anything else, and they love her more than anything, tardiness and all.

She is such a giving person, and people know that when Anna Maria is around, they are going to be taken care of.

Anna Maria will do anything to support her kids, and her husband Bill is grateful for the wife and mother that she is.

“We’ve been married 33 years,” he said. “She’s fun to be around and we have a blast together. She also gave me two beautiful children.”

These two kids, Sean (32) and Adam (27), are also very grateful for the mother that Anna Maria is. They know that she has always been such a supportive, caring mother who prioritizes them to this day, and they realize they would not be where they are today without their mother’s guidance.

“I just wanted to say thank you for always being there for me when I need you the most,” Adam said. “You are one of the most special people in my life. Whenever I need advice, I know that I can always come to you. You are the most amazing woman that I know on this earth. You are also the most caring person that I know.”

Anna Maria has been a wonderful role model to Adam and Sean over the years as well, as they know they can count on her to guide them down the right path.

When they need a shoulder to lean on or someone who is going to be straightforward with them, Anna Maria is that person they can always rely on. She is an amazing mother who is capable of so many things, and she has an endless amount of compassion for her boys.

“Mom, thank you for being incredible,” Sean said. “There’s no other human that can do what you do. I may have been a bit biased on which way you wanted to choose but how could I not?”

Anna Maria embodies motherhood to the umpteenth degree, and it is all made possible because of the love and support she had growing up. She realizes what incredible parents she had raising her, and she wanted to reciprocate that for her boys, and she certainly has done that well.

“She is what she is because of her parents,” Bill said. “Her parents are pretty much identical to her.”

Being an incredible mother to her boys also involves being an incredible role model in her marriage to their father, and Anna Maria and Bill have always shown their sons what a strong marriage looks like.

“We’re just one person combined by two hairlines,” Bill said. “We’ve always spoken, always talked, always agreed and always put our actions into everything we do. We have always implemented these things and have made adjustments when need be. We have a marriage where we talk things out and look for the best results in everything, and this has helped us immensely.”

Marriage can involve some give and take, and that is exactly what Bill and Anna Maria have always been able to do.

On top of being a model for a strong marriage for her kids, Anna Maria has also taught them the importance of family. The Stoerrles are a tight knit family, and that is majorly in part because of Anna Maria. Family is very important to her, and she will prioritize time with them no matter what.

One of the ways she prioritizes family time is by taking her family on different adventures. While Anna Maria and Bill enjoy globetrotting as well as going to the beach together, they also enjoy getting Adam and Sean involved. Any sort of traveling or adventuring they can do together is something that will be of the upmost importance to them.

“I always remember the great times that we had together when I was younger,” Adam said. “I remember always going to the Discovery Zone together and having a great time. The times we went to the Chinese buffet after pre-k and kindergarten. I always loved when you used to show up at school randomly to substitute teach.”

These great memories with their mom are things Adam and Sean will take with them for the rest of their lives, and they are grateful they have had so many amazing adventures together.

“Going to Disney World as a kiddo not only brought us all together but inspired me to enjoy all the passions I’ve come to find in life,” Sean said. “Some of my fondest memories as a kid were the weeks before spring break and all the planning we would do. Especially back in those days when planning was through magazines. Not tablets.”

There is no question how much of an impact Anna Maria has made on her boys’ lives. They love her more than anything, and they are gracious to have her as their mother.

Bill is also glad that he has such a wonderful wife and co-pilot right next to him. He has seen how much love she spreads to so many people all around her every single day and it continues to remind him how lucky and blessed he is to have her in his life.

Anna Maria is a great woman who has changed the trajectory of her family for the better, and she brings so much joy everywhere she goes. Her family could not imagine where they would be without her.

“Mom, thank you! Thank you for showing me the dolphins of the Caribbean, the tree of life before ever touching foot in Africa, and taking us all on a magic carpet ride while never getting to Arabia. It’s been an incredible ride being your son, and I can’t wait to continue this adventure of life. You’re an incredible mother who never ceases to amaze me, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next 60 years.” – Sean
