A lot of nonprofit organizations put their energies into helping needy people or animal shelters to create a better society for us. Therefore, August 17 is recognized as the National Nonprofit Day, which highlights the significance of giving back to the local community.
According to the National Center for Charitable Statistics, there are approximately 1.5 million registered non-profit charities across the country. Without their endless contribution and donations, we could not have such a great community life we live now.
