Ron and Cheryl Wright complement one another and balance each other out as best as any couple you will ever meet.
This started way back when, as they are high school sweethearts who played in the band together. Ron played trumpet, Cheryl played French horn and they both played their way into one another’s hearts.
They eventually got married and had three kids, who gave them eight grandkids, and not a day goes by where they do not show a complete love for one another. They are also the epitome of hard work (Ron was a business owner and Cheryl is a nurse), and they show respect to everyone they come across.
Most importantly, Ron and Cheryl love their kids and grandkids more than anything in the world, and they always put them first. This has been prevalent from the day they first become parents until now, and their family appreciates them for who they are.
“Dad makes everything fun and can turn anything into an adventure,” their son Eric said. “He will drop everything for his family.
“Mom is kind, tenderhearted and loves her people with a fierceness. She is slow to anger and supportive like no other. Mom gives of herself without seeking any recognition.
“Dad has huge ideas for his family and Mom is behind the scenes working to make it happen.”
Remember how we said they complement each other? They do this in every way possible, and that is why they are the perfect duo. They are the yin to each other’s yang, and that really helped them on the parenting side of things.
They also never get tired of one another, which is a recipe for success in any marriage. Ron and Cheryl love each other unconditionally, they love doing everything together and their relationship is one Mark, Eric and Wendy all took after in their own marriages.
“They love anything involving family and they love to travel,” Wendy said. “They find joy in even the little excursions an hour away from home.”
As long as they are together, Ron and Cheryl are happy. That is when you know they truly love one another and would not let anything happen to the other person.
This definitely resonated well when it came to raising their children, as the kids have always had two great role models to look up to.
“Mom and Dad are consistent, loving, gracious, have high expectations and are fun,” Mark said. “The bar is high, but they never make you feel like you have not met their expectations. They are committed to being active, happy, loving grandparents. Each of their grandkids has a special relationship with them. They have walked beside each of their kids in tough times and happy times with unwavering love and support.”
Ron and Cheryl are committed to their children. They have always pushed them to set goals for themselves, and they have always cheered them on during every step in their journeys and lives. They are reliable and supportive, and the kids and grandkids know that love is never going away.
They also know the life lessons they learn from Ron and Cheryl are irreplaceable. Both of them have had the keen ability to teach by example, and that is really special.
“Dad has integrity,” Eric said. “Dad is always putting other people first and celebrating those around him. He has a huge heart for his family and people can feel his love. As a businessman, Dad is so creative and able to look at a seemingly difficult situation and solve the problem. He lights up in a crowd and people are drawn to him.
“Mom has a caring heart. She has made every house a home for our family and is always standing with open arms to welcome us, never stops seeking adventure and always does things with a smile and a hug.”
Ron and Cheryl are all about being positive and impactful in the lives of those around them. They are extremely positive people, and they pass their optimism on to their friends and loved ones. They have also made sure to make family the priority, and that is a point that cannot be emphasized enough.
“They have taught us to always look out for other people who may need extra love,” Mark said. “They always make quality time for their family and each other. They have taught us that family is the most important investment we can make.”
Talk about an absolutely incredible couple. Ron and Cheryl are selfless, they’ve worked hard all their lives, they have made many unforgettable memories together and with their family, and they are just always there.
Oh yeah, and they both love God.
Mark, Mel, Eric, Amy, Wendy, Ryan, Parker, Ethan, Ben, Zac, Mazy, Myllo, Mason and Mari all love Ron and Cheryl so much and are grateful for their constant and unending support for them.
“We are who we are because of the way our parents have treated us, the experiences they have made sure happened for us, their unconditional acceptance. They are the example of how a parent should support their kids even when it is so tough at times. As we age, we appreciate more and more all the things they have taught us about life, and may not have always embraced it, but are now happening just as they said it would.” – Mark, Eric and Wendy
