For the past 20 years, Kris Weaver has felt like the luckiest man in the universe. He has been fortunate enough to spend that time with his best friend and soulmate by his side.
“Linz is the most amazing person I’ve ever met,” Kris said. “She is kind to everyone and is constantly doing things for other people. She is the picture-perfect mom for our kids. She does everything and never asks for anything in return.”
When you picture someone who is completely and utterly selfless, you should picture Lindsey Weaver. She is a great friend to all, and she is a mother who makes constant sacrifices.
Speaking of motherhood, Lindsey is heavily involved in her children’s lives. The three of them each play a combination of lacrosse, soccer and basketball, and Lindsey is always running them around to their practices and games. And if you ask both her and Kris, they will tell you they would not have it any other way.
Kris loves Rylin (11), Tilman (9) and Dillon (5) so much, but what he also loves is the bond Lindsey has with each of them. They all trust their mother and rely upon Lindsey for everything, and she is all their confidants.
“Not just as a mom; she does everything for everybody,” Kris said. “She’s just one of those people. She runs the whole show. I tell her all the time I am the side character. Every day, from getting them ready for school to making sure their homework is done. She lays around with them too. She is literally superwoman.”
SuperWife. SuperMom. SuperWoman.
Lindsey is truly super and she does it all. She is an endless support system, and she is a true pillar.
Not only is she a wonderful mother and wife, but Lindsey is an amazing friend to all. She is someone people can talk to and trust. She is also someone who makes people feel loved, and she draws people in with her friendliness and personality.
“When she first meets somebody, you would think she’s had a relationship with them forever,” Kris said. “It becomes an immediate friendship; it’s amazing. To the point where anybody feels they can approach her. The relationships she has because of how accepting and open she is is impressive.”
Lindsey is not afraid to welcome people with open arms. She is a friend who is going to give you the benefit of the doubt, and she is a friend with a big heart.
“How she is with other people is probably what I’ve learned most from her,” Kris said. “There is not a single thing she does that is not for others. She puts everybody first. She’s the love of my life. Relationships; learning; how great that can be. That’s what she’s taught me. I’ve been with her since she was 20, so it’s been a long journey.”
When you are with someone for almost all of your adult life, you get to grow and mature with them. You get to see where they were and where they are now, and you get to see all the fruits of their labor. This is something Kris has been more than grateful to see over the years.
He is also grateful for all the memories they’ve made together. Their number one favorite activity right now is getting to watch their kids play sports and see them involved in their extracurricular activities. Kris and Lindsey like going to college and professional sporting events as well, and they love going to the beach.
In fact, Kris, Lindsey, Rylin, Tilman and Dillon would spend every sunshiny moment of every day in the sand together if that was possible. They love doing everything on the beach together, and they cherish their time together.
Kris also loves looking back from time to time to remind himself how fortunate he is. He found the person he was meant to be with, and he does not plan to ever let her go.
“It was very natural right away for us,” Kris said. “We grew up with each other’s brothers. The families knew each other. Our love is like the love out of a storybook where two kids know each other all their lives and grow up and end up getting married, that whole thing.”
Everything happens for a reason, and there was certainly a reason Kris and Lindsey’s families were so close. It was because one day, Kris and Lindsey would wind up falling in love, and the rest is history.
“I want her to know how much we love her and are so lucky to have her.” – Kris
