MOTHER, WIFE & BEAUTIFUL LADY: KELSEY JONES IS A SUPER SPECIAL, GENUINE WOMAN WHO IS THE BEST WIFE, MOM, DAUGHTER, SISTER, FRIEND AND CPA

About 13 years ago, Tray Jones convinced the most beautiful, amazing woman he has ever known to go out with him. And more importantly, he convinced her to continue to stick by his side through all the ups and downs and not dump him.

Around three years later (10 years ago to this day), Tray then pulled off the ultimate heist. He married this young woman, who stayed with him despite a skunky, unpleasant deer hunting experience while she was pregnant with their first child.

All relationships and marriages have their bumps, and Tray will be the first to admit he is not the easiest person in the world to deal with. He can be a pain in the rear end, but he loves his wife with all his heart. Kelsey is the most amazing, wonderful person Tray has ever met in his life, and he knows her family is definitely super grateful for the woman she has become.

“Kelsey brings her parents a lot of JOY… probably because I am so awesome and our kids are fun to be around,” Tray said. “But I can tell that her parents are extremely proud of her professionally and personally. Kelsey just does stuff the right way, she doesn’t live outside her means, she works hard, she loves her family, and she loves most people.”

Kelsey has followed in her mother’s footsteps in many regards, from being a CPA just like Barbara, to being an awesome wife and mother. However, she has taken things to a whole other level, and even her own parents are not afraid to admit that. They know their daughter has truly become an example of who they raised her to be and then some.

When asked what makes her proud to be Kelsey’s mother, Barbara said, “I think it’s the way I see her treating others. The kindness she shows others. She works really hard to be a good friend. She’s nurturing those friendships. She makes every birthday party; every event someone is having. Having a solid foundation of friends, and I think that is really important for any family to have. She has friends with common interests; friends with common life levels. She works really hard at that.”

Kelsey is someone who devotes a lot of time to creating the right connections and friendships. She is the kind of friend who is going to always show up and always have your back, and she is a role model to many in that way.

Of course, she is a role model to her two children above all else. Kelsey is the kind of mother who supports her kids and stands up for them in every situation. She is always there and is always looking for ways to help them grow into young model citizens, and even the way she acts in all her friendships will go a long way in shaping and transforming her kids.

“Kelsey is amazing at planning and coordinating all kinds of events –from sports to parties to activities at the lake – for our kids,” Tray said. “They are never really bored, always having something to entertain them; go here, go there. All the while she is doing everything for our family, she is ALSO running her CPA firm. Not many are cut from the same cloth she is. In my opinion, she is an ABSOLUTE ROCKSTAR!!! And she even likes ROCK music… She’s perfect!!!!”

We’ll get into what makes her a phenomenal CPA later, but as a wife, Kelsey is way more than Tray ever bargained for. Mentioned previously, he pulled off a con and a heist, and he is certainly not afraid to admit that.

“Tray is a handful and they complement each other well,” Barbara said. “Together they have built a great life. They are both very successful people in their community and in their jobs. I think they have a lot of fun together. They annoy each other like every couple does. They each have qualities that bring out the best of one another!”

Tray and Kelsey certainly have a way of playing off each other’s strengths, and uplifting each other through their weaknesses. They are like a yin and yang, as they care so much about one another, and they love one another well beyond belief.

Tray will also be the first to tell you his wife is wicked smart. Her brain functions at such a high capacity that it blows him away ALL THE TIME.

“She is very intelligent… sometimes too dang smart,” Tray said. “She is very determined. Honestly one of my favorite things about Kelsey is that she will get down and dirty – get sweaty working in the yard, moving, whatever – but still shine so pretty and be so elegant. She’ll give a kid a whoopin’ if they need it and teach them about Jesus on the same day. She’s a hoot out on the town. Everyone loves Kels!”

Her family loves her. Her friends love her. Heck, even her clients love her.

Barbara said that Kelsey has garnered as many clients as she has throughout their careers, and Barbara has a couple decades on her daughter. That just shows how much people trust Kelsey.

“Kelsey is a CPA,” Tray said. “She graduated with her Master’s in Accounting from Texas Tech University and within three weeks of graduation had her CPA license. She worked for a large CPA firm in Dallas, then Fort Worth, then Weatherford, TX. Finally, she partnered with Lyssa Addington (an awesome friend), forming their own CPA firm. She has been voted best CPA of Parker County twice in the last four years. She’s the BEST OF THE WEST!”

Is there anything this woman cannot do? She handles everything with such elegance and poise, and she does it all while caring about everyone else well before herself. She is truly one of a kind and she is the best of the best.
