A Servant’s Heart: Brenda leads a faithful life in love and compassion

Brenda Myers might be the original influencer.

In a world where we are surrounded by TikTok videos, Brenda has been recording videos for forever and a day. However, her videos were purely original content of her children growing up, as she captured so much of their younger days on VHS.

And while you might not think much of it, the incredible amount of footage Brenda has on her tapes speaks to how proud she is to be a mom.

Brenda is a mother of three great children, and all three of them are grateful for who their mother is. They know they are who they are because of the love and affection their mother poured over them.

They are also grateful for how much their mother influenced them throughout their lives. She is a role model through her hard work, determination and inability to give up.

“Being a mother is a full-time job,” her son Trak said. “On top of that, she was working in her career. When you own a small business, you are putting more time into that than the 40 hours you would be putting in elsewhere. You probably spend two or three times as much energy as you would at any other job. On top of that, she was focused on being a mother. What she’s been able to achieve is incredible.”

You cannot take away from Brenda how devoted she is in life. As an entrepreneur for multiple businesses (a media production company and a coffee shop), she proved time and time again that she can achieve anything she sets her mind to. Plus, she is great at conversing with people, so her customer service skills were top notch.

In fact, in her successful operation of her coffee shop in particular, she was the heart and soul of the place. Customers were guaranteed to have a laugh and a smile before they left. She was the reason people came back, as Brenda made customers feel welcomed and special when they came into her shop. 

Throw into the mix that she was raising three children as well and you wonder when she ever had time for herself. The short findings are she did not have much time for herself, and that was perfectly okay with her. Brenda always wanted what was best for her children, and that was by being the best entrepreneur and the most present mother in their lives.

“She’s a terrific mother,” Trak said. “She is a loving and caring mother. She disciplined us when we needed it. More and more I’m appreciative of her putting up with three reckless kids. Either way, our mom still loved us and cared for us. I have a little niece who is four and my sister just had a boy earlier this month. Mom loves and adores them. She helps my sister in any way she can.”

One thing Brenda has always loved in life is being a mother. However, when she became a grandmother, that role somehow seemed to trump being a mother ever so slightly. There is nothing like being able to hold your grandbabies and watch the children you raised raise children of their own.

Brenda is not just a wonderful mother and grandmother, but she is a great daughter in Christ. She is a God-fearing woman with a whole lot of faith, and it is part of every fiber of her being.

“Mom is a woman of Christ,” Trak said. “She bases her core values upon it. She’s always treating others well. She’s never losing hope. She knows better days are ahead. She instilled the same morals upon us growing up. She is a hopeful, faithful, loving person. I’m starting to see those things projected on my little niece in how she lives her life.”

Brenda is an extremely positive person, and she is constantly looking for God to guide her life. It is the way she has always lived, and she knows it is what has carried her this far in life.

What has also carried Brenda this far in life is knowing her children listened to a lot of the other life lessons she set forth in front of them. While they might not have always been cooperative at the time, they were listening.

“She taught me how to believe in myself, respect others and how to always be hopeful and faithful in life no matter what,” Trak said.

Brenda is all about treating people right, as this is a big part of who she is.

“It’s always the same no matter what,” Trak added. “No matter who they are. No matter their economic status. She treats everybody equally (the same; with respect). The same way she would want to be treated by them. Mom’s really good with people. She will cheer you up if you are down. She is very influential in terms of changing your attitude if you are down.”

Brenda is an uplifting spirit on top of everything else, and that is one of the many reasons why people are so drawn to her.

At the end of the day, the love Brenda has for her family and for others is unmatched. She cares so much and has such a big heart, and her kids are glad to call her Mom.
