Stacey Schubert is the epitome of a persistent woman with a happy-go-lucky attitude.
No matter what life throws her way, she always has a smile on her face, and she is always putting her husband and sons first. Stacey loves like no other and is a reliable wife and mother, and she is appreciated for such.
“She means of course the world to me,” her younger son Ryan said. “She’s probably the most peaceful yet fair person I know. She’s always a symbol for doing things right. She encouraged me to do things the right way.”
Without Stacey as his mom, Ryan realizes he would be lost in life. She is a guiding light and a beacon of direction, and he is thankful for that.
His older brother, Matthew, feels exactly the same way, as he looks up to his mother in so many ways.
“My mom means the world to me,” Matthew said. “My mom is my best friend. We have done everything together our whole lives. I have always had a special connection with my mom.”
Matthew and Stacey’s connection runs deep. To this day they still catch up with each other to talk about their favorite television shows via FaceTime.
But more than just connecting through their same television show interests, Matthew feels a connection with his mother in so many other ways as well. He admires the strength that she has, and he always thinks of his mom whenever he is going through a trial or tribulation in life.
“She has taught me strength and persistence and to never give up,” Matthew said. “Through her cancer, she has taught me how to be strong and be persistent and to never give up and keep on fighting. I went through some medical issues last year that pail in comparison to what she has been through. It blows me away to see what she has and is going through and she still puts us and other people first even when she is not feeling her best.”
Stacey was diagnosed with cancer many years ago, but she has never let that define her or be something that puts her down. With every passing day she puts her dukes up and is ready to fight.
Her sons have seen just how strong and persistent their mother is in her cancer battle, but they have also seen how strong she is in her marriage. She means everything to their father, Greg, and she would do anything for him as well.
“My mom is definitely my dad’s rock,” Ryan said. “My dad is a smart man that can do a lot of things my mom can’t. But at the same time there are a lot of things my mom knows how to do – banking, credit, the things in life they do not teach you about life. The little things you do not think about. My dad is book smart and a good leader, but my mom is that super good rock and supporter.”
And Greg knows this too. He knows just how amazing his wife is and he is glad that she has stuck by his side through thick and thin. She makes him want to be a better person every day, and he fights to do just that because he loves his wife.
Stacey is also someone who draws a lot of people close to her. When you meet her, you want to get to know her better because she is just a wonderful person. She treats people right and genuinely cares about others.
“She is very fair and she is not super hateful, even to the people who have done wrong,” Ryan said. “She’s one of the people that doesn’t hold grudges.”
“I think she is always a happy spirit and is always willing to talk and spend time with the ones that she loves,” Matthew added.
Stacey shows extreme optimism and a huge heart every single day, and that is appreciated by so many people all around her. She is loved by her family because she is always there for them, and she has made innumerable memories with them along the way.
She’s got a lot of grit and determination as well, and she has plenty of fight left in the tank. Stacey means the world to her husband and her sons, and they look up to her for guidance and support with good reason.
She deserves to be celebrated every single day.
“I want my mom to know how proud of her I am and how much she inspires me. I have told her before that she is my hero, and that will always be true. Truly, some of the things she has been through and persevered through with a smile on her face and her spirits high, I feel like I can get through anything… and with a smile.” – Matt
“She is almost completely responsible for the great young men that I believe me and my brother turned into. All the true raising and manners and morals and everything good that I see I was raised with, I thank my mother for. I owe her almost everything in my life.” – Ryan
“Happy birthday and thank you for being the family glue all these years.” – Greg
