Don’t tell people a little white lie is sometimes all it takes to get a girl’s number.
For Paul Markowski, that is how he got his now-wife Julia’s number, and although he does not condone lying, he would not change jumping at the chance to get her phone number for the world.
To Paul, Julia was the most beautiful girl in the world. He first saw her at the YMCA gym and could not get her off his mind. And after getting to know her, he realized she was everything he could have ever wanted in a wife and then some, and that is why he has never let her go.
It is not surprising Paul sees his wife this way either. She has been a special woman ever since she entered this earth, and that is known by all the people who love her.
“Our daughter; we thank God every day for being able to say those words with reigning love and pride,” Julia’s mom Alison said. “She is everything we could imagine and more: strong, compassionate, appreciative of life, nurturing and respectful.”
There are so many great characteristics Julia possesses, but the one that stands out above all others is her motherly instinct. Paul and Julia have three young daughters, and there is nothing Julia would not do for them.
Day in and day out she shows Charlotte (9), Caroline (6) and Leah (2) how to live life to the fullest. She makes the most of every moment they spend together, from coaching Charlotte’s soccer team to taking trips to the good Ocean City beach to watching her favorite DMV sports teams. Julia just loves to be around family, particularly her girls, and she shows them the importance of quality time with family each and every day.
“Julia is a good mother because she is nurturing, caring and takes care of her children, her family and her friends,” Paul said. “She wants to make the world a better place for everyone in it. She is the best role model for our little girls and even reminds me to stop, breathe and relax when things get crazy. She is smart and teaches her daughters to push themselves. Failing is okay as long as you learned from it.”
As a sixth-grade English teacher, teaching comes naturally to Julia. That is why she has no problem instilling the most important of beliefs and values into her daughters. She wants to see them grow into strong, independent women who are capable of anything, and with a mother like Julia that is bound to happen.
All three girls look up to Julia for everything and they love her so much, and rightfully so. She is always in their lives and is always supporting them beyond belief. Julia took everything she learned from her own parents and has used it to help mold her into the parent she is today.
“Our daughter embraces a good challenge with vigor, patience and tolerance, and being her parents, we did the same as she also was a welcomed challenge at times,” Alison said. “As we say, what goes around comes around! Our daughter loves and laughs with her children, respects their individuality and does all she can to see them succeed in all they do.”
Julia just wants what is best for her daughters.
She wants what is best for her husband as well. That is why she is the best partner in crime he could ever ask for. In fact, he says she teaches him many things along the way, and Paul is grateful for this fact.
“She’s taught me the world is always changing, but do not let that change you as a person,” Paul said. “Be kind and genuine. Live, Love, Laugh.”
Be kind to yourself and always be happy. Look at life positively and do not take things too seriously. This is the way Julia lives her life and she is definitely living it to the max.
She also treats others fairly. She loves hanging out with her best friends Heather and Mar, and she definitely loves showing others her big heart.
“She expresses so much empathy and thoughtfulness because she concentrates on what everyone needs,” Paul said. “Julia thinks outside of herself. She pushes past her comfort zone. Julia is open-minded and welcomes change throughout her life.”
Julia is not afraid to stand out in the crowd. She is always going to stand up for her loved ones and be present in their lives, and many people could not do it without her. She means so much to so many people, and Paul wants to make sure Julia always keeps this in mind.
