Rosalie Leischner, her sisters and her nephew have a bond and connection unlike any other, and it is a special thing to see. Not only that, but every single person in Rosie’s life has a special bond with her, and that is because of who she is.
“Rosie is one of the kindest, most generous and honest people you will meet,” her sisters Judy and Darlene said. “She also has the famous Leischner sense of humour and always makes time for those she loves.”
“What makes her special is that she is like a second mother to me. She has taught me countless life lessons over the years,” her nephew Brendan added.
Throughout her lifetime, Rosie’s entire family has been able to rely upon her for everything. Whether you need her guidance and support, or are just looking for a good laugh, Rosalie is the one you want to be around. “She isn’t a know-it-all but if the shoe fits, wear it,” said sister Darlene.
Rosie’s personality is something a lot of people cherish as well. She is someone who works hard, and she is not afraid to take a stand.
“I admire her for many things, but at the top of the list is her role of Doctor Rosie,” Darlene said. “She’s very helpful with medical issues (and won’t hesitate to crack a joke or two about them if it’s appropriate). We admire her for beating lung cancer, which she has been free and clear of for nearly a decade. She never smoked a day in her life though – something we affectionately call Leischner luck.”
Whether it’s baking Christmas cookies for the entire family or making a special meal for the love of her life, Mike Turner, Rosie’s heart and generosity are always on full display.
“She’s active in her community club, very social, teaches iPad lessons to seniors, travels around the world, and perhaps more than anything else, likes to meet with family for meals or to play cards,” Judy and Darlene said.
Evidently, Rosie tries to win her family’s money during said card games, but usually falls short.
Above all else, Rosie loves to be around the people she loves. She is a family woman first and foremost, and everyone from her partner Mike to her brother-in-law Bob appreciate and admire her. They all know the family would not function the same without her, and they are all glad she is the family’s nucleus.
