In life, you are defined by many things. One of these things is how you handle adversity, and if that was the only thing you would be judged on, Sadie Marie would be acing every life test.
However, there are many other things you are judged on in life, including how you act as a wife and as a mother. Luckily for Sadie, she is such an amazing person that she aces all these tests as well.
In fact, Sadie’s personality is so top notch that there are not many negative things that can be said about her. From her strength and endurance through adversity to her ability to treat others with nothing but kindness and respect, Sadie is an all-out exceptional woman.
Sadie Marie is a wife to Justin, a mother to 10-year-old Layla, 7-year-old Fiona and 2-year-old Lorenzo, and an aunt to four nephews and one niece. They love her all so much, and they know that she is truly remarkable in all that she does.
When Justin met Sadie 15 years ago when they were in the Marines, there was something about her bright white smile and her personality that stood out to her. He could not quite put his finger on what truly made her special right then and there, but as he got to know her, he began to realize there are hundreds of things that make Sadie special.
“She always has this upbeat, positive mental attitude about everything,” Justin said. “Sure, she has her bad days here and there, but she always has this positivity about her where she usually doesn’t let negative people or things bring her down. Although she feels like giving up from time to time, it’s pretty rare that she ever does.”
If COVID and upper respiratory and chest pain could not stop her from finishing the Berlin Marathon, there is not much that can bring Sadie down. She is always up for a challenge, and she does not let the curveballs life throws her way get to her that easily.
And considering the fact that she raises her three children pretty much all alone during the summers while Justin is out fighting wildfires, you know Sadie has the mental toughness of a true warrior. She finds a way to prioritize her kids at all times, even when they do not make it easy on her, and that is because she is a one-of-a-kind mother.
“Fiona says that she loves how her mom gives her big hugs and makes her feel better when she’s sad,” according to Justin. “Layla says she loves all the day trips and weekend getaways she gets to take with her mom, especially the camping trips.”
Whether they’re going on adventures or she is helping them with homework, the support, love and compassion Sadie pours over all three of her children is nothing short of amazing. She does anything and everything for them, and Justin is super proud of her in this way.
He is also super proud of the way she handles adversity. From being jobless and pregnant to so many other wild situations, Sadie handled it all with a sort of calmness you do not see from people very often.
“My wife has an unmatched ability to stay motivated and driven to accomplish anything she can dream of despite how busy and hectic our lives are with our kids,” Justin said. “We have been through a hell of a lot together, but we keep hitting milestone after another and keep slowly accomplishing one thing after another. We still have a long way to go, but we’re headed in the right direction.”
Sadie makes the most of every situation, every battle and every challenge. She knows that life is not easy, but she puts her head down and faces everything head-on.
She does not whine about things either. She knows it is not always easy, but she has a way of facing anything that many others do not have the willpower to handle.
“She’s a constant reminder that there are no real excuses for anything in life,” Justin said. “No matter how difficult things can get financially or physically, being in Sadie’s life every day is a constant example of how you can still set and obtain goals for yourself regardless of what comes your way.”
And while it may sound like life has not always been easy, that does not stop Sadie from being the most amazing person Justin has ever met. She loves their children more than anything, she is a supportive wife, and most importantly, she loves to have fun. She loves to take the kids out on excursions, and she likes to have some fun of her own when time permits.
Overall, there is a lot to be said about Sadie, as she is truly one of the good ones. That is why her family loves and appreciates her so much, and they could not imagine going through this life without her.
“I want her to know how truly amazing it is that she has ran so many marathons and finished her AA degree last year and is now at Sacramento State University working toward her BA all while dealing with the work, stress and unpredictability that comes with having three kids. I want her to know how valuable her examples of commitment and perseverance will be for our kids as they age.” – Justin
