“You know, the ladies call me Dr. Love.”
That was the pickup line Cody Fann first used to hit on his wife Amy when they worked together at Sam’s Club. She laughed and walked away, and Cody thought that was that.
Luckily, Amy looked past his cheesy pickup line and instead uses it as an embarrassing story to tell people they meet.
After finally giving Cody a chance to start over, he made the most of it, and now he has been able to spend the last 14 years married to the most wonderful woman he has ever known.
“Amy is the most dedicated, resilient and amazing person I have ever met,” he said. “She is steadfast in her resolve to ensure the best life for our children. Her dedication to our kids is nothing short of awe-inspiring, and she makes sure they get everything they need to be successful. She is a loving mother and wife, and our family absolutely could not function without her. And this is not a hyperbole either. It’s the truth.”
Cody and Amy have two daughters and a puppy together, and the love Cody has seen his wife show toward each of them is nothing short of remarkable. She has an endless love and is always supporting them in everything they do. She is always present and is always making sure she is prioritizing time with them.
“She loves watching the girls play and compete in sports,” Cody said. “She loves to spend time with her closest friends. She also loves spending time with our puppy, Maggie, and she enjoys listening to audiobooks, in which she consumes regularly. She enjoys helping others, budgeting and church activities, as well as playing board games, puzzling and traveling.”
Anything Amy can do to be there for others, she does it. She is someone who is always going to make sure that everyone has what they need, and she will stop at nothing to make sure the people around her are happy.
She means so much to so many people around her, and she has an especially special bond with her mother Becky.
Amy cares so much about Becky and making sure that her mother is always happy, and her mom is one of her best friends.
“Amy means the world to me,” Becky said. “She’s my only daughter. She came into this world screaming and she never stopped talking. Even in school she was a talker. She’s kind and helpful to anyone in need.”
Amy has a huge heart and a kind soul, and people know that they can look to her for anything.
“She has a kind heart and is always willing to help,” her mom added. “I love how she cares about her family and friends. She is always there to help.”
Amy is a great role model and a positive influence on many people, and her family cannot speak enough as to how loving she truly is.
She is self-sacrificing and is always wanting to put a smile on other people’s faces, and she is just such a dedicated individual.
She works hard and shows up for others, and she does not let anything get in her way. She loves hard and Cody knows how great she is because she knows how to deal with him.
“I admire her ability to put up with me, for one,” he said. “I do not deserve my wife in the least bit, and she is the greatest thing to ever happen in my life. My wife is truly a gift from God. I admire her ability to be absolutely selfless and put her family first. She prioritizes our children in every way; putting aside her time to make sure they are at practices, games, activities, church events, sleepovers, etc. You name it. She is the glue that holds our family together.”
From crafting and shopping with her mom to attending all her daughters’ games, Amy is someone who spends so much time creating memories and making sure that people are always taken care of.
She has a great personality and her family loves her, and they are beyond thankful for all she does for them.
“Babe, I genuinely thank God every day that you are my wife,” Cody said. “You are the most amazing wife and mother and in no way do I deserve to share the honor of marriage or parenthood with you. You are, truly and sincerely, a gift from God to everyone around you. I love you, your children love you, your family and friends love you. You are amazing in every way. I love you, babe.”
