‘My Better Side’: This is how Bruce views Bonita, and so do her daughters

There is a whole lot to be said about Ms. Bonita Michelle Jackson.

From her endless support to her extreme work ethic to her love of traveling, everything about Bonita is amazing.

“This August 29, 2023, is truly a special one,” her soulmate Bruce Athy said. “God delivered to us one Bonita Michelle Jackson, a beautiful soul with so much love, heart and devotion. We met ten years ago and enjoyed some wonderful travels, experiences and gorgeous views. All were made possible when we were blessed with your arrival 50 years ago.

“Also, besides Him bringing you into my life, you were gifted with two lovely, adorable girls to whom you’re devoted, love and cherish. Enjoy this day; this celebration. I’m not the only one that loves and appreciates you.”

Bruce is certainly right about that. As much as he loves, appreciates and admires his soulmate, there are so many other people in this world who do as well. Of course, two of those people are her amazing daughters, who have taken after the excellence of their mother.

Not only that, but a lot of other family members, friends and clients alike will tell you how great of a person Bonita is. From her devotion to her skill to her great big heart, she is truly one of a kind.

Bonita has been on this earth for 50 years, which means she has been making a positive impact on this earth for 50 years. She is the one person her family cannot live without, and she is the one who is relied upon by many. Bonita has a real love of life as well, which makes everything she does with people that much more enjoyable.

“From your laughter to your serious conversations, and everything in between, you are our number one cheerleader even for the little things,” Bonita’s daughter Ayriana said. “You are our friend – but not too much – and you let us know. You’re our motivator even when we don’t feel motivated. You push everyone you encounter to be their best selves. To say you spent your half a century – which is crazy – making such a positive difference to those who enter your life is an understatement. Thank you for guiding us, scolding us and just being you.” 

Ayriana and her sister Neshaya both know just how great of a person their mother is. They also realize they would not be the strong, independent people they are today without their mother’s guidance and wisdom. She is their role model and the one they can always count on, and they are super thankful for Bonita. 

They have nothing but positive things to say about their mother, as does their godfather. They all know their lives are infinitely greater because of her, and they love Bonita to death. 

“Some of my favorite qualities about her? Her kindness, heart, devotion and love toward family and friends, especially her two daughters,” Bruce said. “And her pride in her craft as an IT.” 

It is clear Bonita does not do anything half-heartedly. She gives everything her all, which is what makes her so great at all she does. 

This proved to be especially true when they traveled to three different colleges in one week to make sure Neshaya got to see all the schools that offered her a scholarship. 

Of course, this is not the only traveling Bonita has done with her family either. They recently went on a trip to Marco Island, Fla. for a week, and the trip included a dolphin tour and riding scooters and bikes around the island. 

And what made those trips that much more memorable was the fact that Bonita was on them, helping to create more special moments with her family. She loves them so much and wants to make the world for them amazing, and she has done just that time and again. 

“Thank you for everything Mom Dukes,” ​​Ayriana said. “In these last 20 or so years, you have been our rock, our pride, our force and our person. You have helped us overcome HUGE milestones in life, like Shaya graduating and going to college to then moving her into college.” 

There is not anything Bonita would not do for her girls, and there is not anything she would not instill in them either. She is their role model and their life teacher and motivator, and they look up to her because of that. 

“She’s taught us that with hard work, dreams can come true,” Ayriana said. 

Reach for the stars and you will achieve great things. That is exactly what Bonita believes, and that is because she has done just that. She has accomplished so many amazing things in her life, and she knows her daughters will too. 

On the other hand, for Bruce, their relationship is all about love and happy moments. They have grown so much together and have created a wonderful life together, and they are just always there for one another. 

“I love spending time taking trips with her,” Bruce said. “There’re also our intimate moments. And of course, just the happy times with her and her girls.” 

What more can be said? Bonita is the rock and the foundation of her family, and she is the one person they all collectively look up to. 

“You have been here through everything, no matter what,” Neshaya said. “Through all the trials and tribulations, all the heartaches and heartbreaks, all the disappointing moments, you have been our rock. We love you more than we could ever explain, Mom.”

It can be difficult to constantly show just how much someone means to you. For Bonita’s daughters and soulmate, it is no different. They know they do not always do her justice, as she deserves the world and a whole lot of showers of appreciation, and they hope she realizes just how much they love and adore her. 

“She means the world to me,” Ayriana said. “She is my rock.” 

Bonita is the rock and glue of the family, and she is a steadfast in many people’s lives. She is reliable, loving, caring and attentive, and she is exceptionally amazing. 

“I admire her love and devotion to her girls,” Bruce said. “Her love for myself. Her support to the end, no matter what.”

Bonita is her family’s ride or die. She is going to be there for them until the end of time, and she is not ever going to let her love for them waver.

To Bruce, Ayriana and ​​Neshaya, there is no one more amazing than Bonita. They know her selflessness and heart carry her wherever she goes, and they could not imagine where they would be without her.
