‘My Reason’: Rosanna Oh is Jonathan’s reason, and he is grateful for her

Relax. Be in the present. Remain in the present.

This important trio of things are just three of the innumerable life lessons Jonathan Oh has learned from his high-school-sweetheart-turned-wife, Rosanna, over the years. He has also learned patience, how to make a good thing last, how to love, how to laugh, how to be persistent, and so much more. Rosanna is the type of woman that you want to be learning from, as she has such a strong personality and she is someone who makes a strong impact on all her relationships.

“She builds lasting relationships,” Jonathan said. “Rosanna is still in contact with friends from childhood.”

To some people, this might not sound like a foreign concept, but to many it does. Having friends that have been in your life for as long as many of Rosanna’s friends have been speaks true testaments to someone’s character.

For Rosanna, she has put a lot of effort into choosing her friends wisely, but at the same time, her friends have made a valiant effort to remain in her life. That is because they know how special of a person and friend she is, and they do not take that for granted.

Jonathan does not take for granted how amazing a mother his wife is either. Rosanna is there for their kids at all times, and Jonathan knows as they grow older, they will grow to truly appreciate their mother. While they are very fond of her now, neither of them are quite at that age when you begin to realize you have one of the greatest moms in the world.

What makes Rosanna such a great mother is the fact that she supports her children and creates the best lives possible for them. She wants them to always be afforded the best opportunities, and she will do all she can to make that happen.

“She is the most loving person I know,” Jonathan said. “She loves freely without holding anything back and is not afraid to get hurt. Because of this, she develops deep and meaningful relationships with anyone she chooses. And if anyone mistreats someone in her circle, she is fiercely loyal.”

This translates directly into being a wonderful mother to Zoe and Rylie. Rosanna is not going to let anything happen to either of them, as she is a true mama bear.

Rosanna is loyal to a fault, and this bodes well in her marriage to Jonathan. She has his back and is always in his corner, much like she is with many others. She loves him tremendously, and she is as devoted a wife as you will see.

“She supports me by loving me without restraint,” Jonathan said. “This helps me because I am a very closed off person who is afraid of close relationships due to the possibility of getting hurt. She helps me come out of my shell and open up more.”

Rosanna brings out the best in others and teaches them how to be trusting. She is genuine in her ways, and she cares so much about people, which helps them really be open and honest with her.

Rosanna is one who also likes to settle arguments and anything else as quickly as possible, which brought up one of Jonathan’s favorite memories with her.

“One day, I think it was during our high school years, I was able to break free from her [after an argument] and started walking down the street away from her,” Jonathan said. “She followed and threw her shoe and it hit me square in the back. But it wasn’t any ordinary shoe. I don’t know what you call them, but they were like sandals with at least three inches of heel on them!”

And yet, even after that, these two stayed together. It speaks volumes to Rosanna’s loyalty and her never-give-up attitude.

She may also almost always be right, but there are a few times where she is not. It is in those situations where all she wants to do is learn and become more knowledgeable, which is yet another check in the “great personality traits” column.

“She is always curious and interested in basically anything,” Jonathan said. “Rosanna asks a lot of questions to better understand things.”

Rosanna does this even as a mother, which shows just how invested she is. She is already a top-of-the-line mother, but she wants to be even better, and Jonathan admires that and so much more about her.

“I may not always show it, but I love her more than she knows. I understand that I have difficulties expressing my feelings, but it is something that I am working on. She makes me a better person and I cannot imagine doing life without her. She is my rock, and every important decision I make revolves around her.” – Jonathan
