‘She Makes Us Better’: Julia LaCava is a loving and devoted wife and mother

As the youngest of five children, Julia LaCava knows what it takes to spread her love amongst the masses. And at the same time, she knows how to work hard for everything in life.

Born in Mishawaka, Indiana, Julia is one of the most loving, caring, kind and compassionate people you will meet. She takes good care of her husband, three sons and puppy, and she still finds time to volunteer elsewhere. Everything about her is amazing, and it is no wonder her family all speaks so highly of her.

“My mom is the most caring person I’ve ever met in my life,” Julia’s son Alex said. “She does more for me than I can describe. She puts delicious meals on the table, and she keeps our house nice and clean. She is just so loving and warm.”

With one son stationed overseas in the Air Force (Christian), one being a talented high school athlete (Alex) and one middle school artist/musician/multisport athlete, Julia has a lot to keep up with in her day-to-day schedule. And yet, she finds a way to manage it all. And with ease might we add.

Raising three sons is not the easiest task for any mother to do, but to do it without complaint while keeping the house as clean and as focused as the LaCava household is, only someone of Julia’s prestige can handle all that.

“She means everything because she does all the stuff around the house,” Ben said. “Whether it be cooking, cleaning or helping one of us, she is always there.”

Julia is a super supportive and loving mother. She was thrown into motherhood at 20 years old, yet she found a way to embrace it and embrace it well. Her husband Aaron said she silenced a lot of doubters, and that is what Julia does as a mother and as a wonderful woman in general.

Between that, her work ethic and her amazing personality, there are so many important lessons Julia has instilled in her boys, and her husband. She has taught them the value of honesty, independence, learning from your mistakes, and so much more.

“My mom has taught me and my brothers countless life skills,” Alex said. “She has taught us to be independent and not take crap from other people. She made sure to raise strong children and she is very protective of us. She is strong-minded and very endearing.”

Everything Julia has ever done for or taught her sons is for their own good. She has always looked out for what is best for them, and they all know and realize this.

“She has taught me almost everything I know,” Ben stated. “She taught and helped me how to write, read and how to fold a sweatshirt.”

From the simpler things in life to all the hard things in life, there is not a thing Christian, Alex or Ben have not learned from their mother.

In fact, while they have learned a lot of amazing things from Julia, they have realized a lot of amazing things about her in the process. They realized she treats people fairly and is someone who is so selfless with her time, and she also places an emphasis on the importance of family.

“Julia is a talented gardener, especially flowers.” Aaron said. “She also volunteers with her father to maintain a vegetable garden plot at our church. She has always driven nice cars, which she takes great care to keep in immaculate condition. She loves feeding the backyard birds and squirrels, even having trained the squirrels to literally eat from her hand.”

There is nothing this amazing, committed, smart, loving, beautiful, tireless woman cannot do. She spends her days working hard, raising her family and always being a wonderful wife, and for that she is beyond loved and appreciated.

Julia’s entire family realizes they could not do it without her, and that is why they are grateful for her day in and day out. They do not take her for granted, and they are glad to have her in their lives.

“Our lives are richer and more fulfilled because she is a part of them. And although we may not always express the gratitude she deserves, nothing in our lives would be possible without her.” – Aaron
