‘She’s Our Everything’: Sandra Davis means everything to her family and then some

You never have to question Sandra Davis’s love and dedication. Especially when it comes to her family.

Sandra loves her family more than anything in the world and has always been there for them. She is someone who cares deeply and loves compassionately, and this something her loved ones appreciate about her.

One of these people who appreciate her unconditional love is her (step)daughter, Allison. Sandra took Allison in when she needed family support the most, and that is why Allison and Sandra will never be anything short of family to one another.

“I was coming in and disrupting their whole world (her and my dad), yet she never made me feel like I didn’t belong with them,” Allison said. “She has loved me unconditionally from the time she met me when I was 3 years old. I didn’t realize just how much she thought of me as her own until they came to let me live with them. She did everything a mother should do with her child. She took care of me when I was sick, cheered me on during high school and college, helped me get ready on my wedding day, and answers when I call her for stupid things multiple times a day.”

Sandra is married to Allison’s father, Brad, and she has been part of Allison’s life from the moment Sandra met Brad. Sandra treats Allison like a daughter, and they have a bond that is truly unbreakable.

“She loves my daughter Allison like she is her own,” Brad said. “She has never once treated her any differently. She and Allison are extremely close, and I absolutely love it. Allison loves Sandra so much that they talk on the phone every single day. Even when Allison doesn’t always call me lol.”

Sandra is the kind of person you want by your side, taking care of you in every aspect of life. Sandra is as reliable as they come, and she makes such a great stepmom that no one would ever think there is actually a “step” in that relationship, and Sandra and Allison like to keep it that way.

Allison is not the only daughter that Sandra is close with either. Sandra is a great mother to Allison’s sister, Leslie, and would do anything for her too. She has taught her so many things over the years, and Leslie is appreciative of everything Sandra has ever taught her.

“I’ve learned independence, hard work, to be thankful for everything and to take care of what you have,” Leslie said. “Be tough, but also have manners; be a lady; be loving and kind to all, but also don’t be taken advantage of. She’s taught me how to laugh, to not take things so seriously and to have a good sense of humor.”

On top of this, Leslie and Allison both have learned the importance of family and always being there for them.

Sandra never puts her family second, and this is something that is remarkable. She loves them more than anything, and she is appreciated for such.

“One of the things I admire most about Sandra is her love for her family,” Allison said. “She will do anything in her power to make sure her family is well taken care of. She also goes out of her way to make sure that all of her family and friends know just how much they are loved.”

Sandra is as selfless and caring as they come. She has a big heart and thinks of others well before herself. She does not have a self-centered bone in her body, and that is amazing.

She is also as supportive as they come. No matter the time of day, Sandra is there for anyone in need… especially her girls.

“She is good to Allison and I because of her unwavering love and support,” Leslie said. “She is always there when we need her for anything!”

And that rings true for anyone in Sandra’s life. She is someone you want in your corner, and she certainly has everyone’s backs.

She is also someone who has created a lifetime of memories with her family. Every moment spent with Sandra has the opportunity to become a lifelong memory, but there are some moments that stick out more than others.

“Sandra is an amazing woman,” Brad said. “She is always there for us in any situation. She is so thoughtful and caring. One of the memories that means the most is when I used to go on mission trips, she would put a Ziploc bag full of cards. There was a card for every day I was gone so that I would have something to open from her every single day. She would sneak them into my suitcase so I didn’t know they were in there until I was gone. That’s just one example of how thoughtful she is.”

The care and compassion certainly runs deep, and that is just one great example of it. That memory shows just how much thought she puts into making her family happy, and they appreciate that.

“One of my favorite memories with Sandra is on my wedding day,” Allison said. “She did all she could to make my day feel special. We had to change everything one month before the wedding because of COVID, but she did her best to make sure it was the day I had always dreamed of.”

Sandra is constantly making sure her family has the best lives possible and that everything they do has meaning to them. She makes every moment – no matter how big or small – super special and meaningful, and her family loves her for that.

Her girls are also appreciative of the way Sandra treats Brad. She loves him so much and is such a great wife, and he will even tell you that he has learned a lot from her over the years.

“I have learned what it’s like to be in a genuine partnership with someone,” Brad said. “I’ve learned how wonderful it is to have someone who loves you. As well as someone who loves your daughter just like her own. I am so grateful for this life we have built together.”

“They truly love and care for each other,” Leslie added. “They are best friends and he treats her like a queen. They have fun and can laugh at each other. They work hard together and always respect each other.”

Wow. Sandra is clearly a special woman who her family is beyond grateful for. They know that she is the best thing that has ever happened to them, and they love her for such.

Keep being you, Sandra. You are appreciated and you are celebrated for who you are.
