Patricia Dauk is an amazing wife and mom who does everything she can for the people she loves.
Her hugsband, Brody Atwell, said she is an incredibly caring and giving person who makes everyone she meets feel better about themselves.
Patricia is a hard worker whose positive attitude extends to her work life. She ran a day home for over 20 years and never called in sick. Brody said she changed a million diapers and always answered the door with a big smile.
She recently became the receptionist at Canyon Plumbing, and people have already said how much the mood at the office has changed due to Patricia’s positivity.
The couple met as neighbors when Patricia was still married to her ex. She made a joke about his old Ford Explorer, which contained everything he owned in it at the time.
“I think our first real date was about 18 months later at a Calgary Flames game, but Patricia knows that I am incredibly forgetful,” he said with a smile.
Brody was instantly attracted to her smile, her sense of humor, and her beautiful big blue eyes, which always get comments from strangers.
Patricia’s sense of humor has led to some of Brody’s favorite memories, including the time she got on stage with Brad Garrett at his comedy club in Las Vegas. When he joked about her giving her a t-shirt, she made everyone laugh when she said she wore a size small because her big breasts would never fit into a small.
Brody said he is in awe of how great of a mother Patricia is to her three children, Brycen, Jesse and Jenaya.
“She has given them everything they want, she picked them up at all of their sports events, and she always got them what they wanted for Christmas,” Brody said. “She took them to Florida and to Las Vegas to see Justin Bieber, and always brought their forgotten lunches to school.”
When she isn’t working or caring for family, Patricia likes to travel, watch murder mysteries on TV and spend time with their rescue dog, Kaia.
Brody jokes that Kaia was a rescue fail because when their time for fostering the dog came to an end, Kaia was supposed to go to their neighbors for a while, but after two days their neighbor said she couldn’t do it anymore and was going to have to take the dog back to the rescue.
“Patricia literally said, ‘f*ck that,’ walked over to the neighbor’s house, brought Kaia home to me and said, ‘Happy Birthday!’” Brody said. “It was actually on my birthday and that was my present.”
Brody said he admires Patricia’s determination, and her giving personality, which makes him try to be a better person.
He laughs about some of the incredible memories they have made together, including how much they laughed on the boat ride back to shore when they went whale watching, the time she scared him in Drumheller, and when he called her after getting locked in the stairwell at the MGM.
“I am so thankful for all of the amazing times we have had together, and I look forward to making more memories with her,” Brody said. “We joke about being the only two people in the world. She truly means everything to me. I’d be lost without her.”
“Patricia, no matter what happens between us from now until the end of time, I will always do everything I can for you, and I will always love you!”
