My life forever changed for the better the day I met her – The love story of Tommy and Sarah Senich

The love story of Tommy and Sarah Senich felt as natural as if it were written in the stars. Their journey began in the flickering glow of a bonfire, organized by their friend, Mike, and Sarah’s sister, Dana, who saw the potential for something to grow between them. As they found themselves drawn together, their conversation flowed effortlessly.

Tommy was captivated by Sarah’s unwavering faith and compassionate spirit.

“Sarah has a tremendous amount of faith and love for God and her family,” Tommy said. As they wandered through the streets of downtown Youngstown during their second time out together, their connection grew amidst drinks at Imbibe Martini Bar, where Sarah told Tommy more about herself.

She told Tommy about all of the mission trips she took through her church, and the fact that she was a University Scholar at Youngstown State University. Tommy was amazed by her devotion to her faith and the fact that she was someone who was so willing to give to other people, yet at the same time was incredibly accomplished in her own right.

“This conversation at the bar is where I knew she would be the one,” he revealed.

Their story continued to unfold to what is now a loving marriage and an abundance of cherished memories. From the excitement of their wedding day at St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church to the amazing adventures of their cross-country road trip, Tommy and Sarah established a connection that couldn’t be broken.

Then, the birth of their children, Melina and Peyton, brought even more immeasurable joy and love into their lives. “She was incredible at giving birth to both children, displaying amazing strength,” Tommy said.

With each milestone they celebrated together — from buying their first house to sharing moments by the pool with the kids — their love grew stronger. 

Tommy cherished Sarah for the remarkable woman she was: intelligent, compassionate and selfless to the core. He admired her tireless dedication to their family, her unwavering commitment to their children, and her ability to find beauty and joy in the little things. She was his rock, his confidante, his guiding light.

“Her faith and belief in God has elevated mine. We pray before meals and go to church regularly, things I probably wouldn’t be doing without her,” Tommy said.

As a mother especially, Sarah is beyond words. “She loves her children unconditionally. She always puts their needs and activities in front of hers,” Tommy said. “She takes incredible care of our children, making sure that they are dressed properly, have healthy food to eat, and have the items that they need for the day.”

Sarah elevates both Tommy and her children, encouraging them to become better versions of themselves every day. She teaches them to be kind, supportive, hardworking and overall good people.

For Tommy, Sarah has had a profound impact on their lives. He thanks her for being the heart and soul of their family, for embodying the values of faith, love and generosity that they held dear.

“I would like her to know how important she is to our family. She is the love of my life and I couldn’t imagine not having her in it. She is an amazing mother to our children, teaching them the importance of faith, family and learning. She is the perfect role model for them to follow.
