‘We wouldn’t have it any other way’: Jackie DeFreze’s family loves her because she is their everything

Jackie DeFreze does it all. She is a stay-at-home mom who is instilling strong morals and values into her children while also being the masterchef of her home. She keeps the house functioning and running smoothly, and Bobby never has to fret about things at home when he is at work.

“She is definitely ‘the fun mom,’” he said. “She lets the kids play and explore their imaginations. She is the neighborhood favorite for all the kids, boys and girls, 2 through 12. They all love her and want to talk to ‘Miss Jackie’ or show off a new skill to her.”

Jackie’s impact on everyone around her is endless, and it is especially noticeable when it comes to her and Bobby’s three children. She is not afraid to get on the floor and play with them, nor does she shy away from an impromptu dance party or a book before bed.

Jackie does not recoil from being a role model to Rhory, Sienna and Zara either. She has taught them all to pave their own paths, and they are doing just that even as adolescents.

The thing about that is, Jackie brings out the best in all her loved ones, especially Bobby. She is someone who pushes him to be the best he can be, and she has encouraged him to do things he might not have otherwise done.

Jackie truly is Bobby’s better half.

“She pushes me to be healthier for myself and our family. She makes me eat more vegetables in a week than I did in my first 23 years on Earth without her around,” Bobby said. “She pumps me up about work, getting after it, climbing to new heights; and she doesn’t stop even when I am hesitant. She was my biggest supporter when I chased the dream of playing high-level lacrosse, and now she is our son’s biggest fan as he begins his journey in the sport. She always compliments me as a father and as a coach and is currently finding ways to get the girls into some sports and activities.”

Jackie wants the best for others because she does not want people to go through what she has gone through. She has not always had the easiest family life, but she always puts on a brave face and faces every day with a smile.

“She is stubborn, straightforward, and doesn’t pull any punches,” Bobby added.

You can see strength exuded from Jackie daily, and you do not want to mess with her or her loved ones. She loves with all her heart, and she is someone who you want in your corner.

Jackie is also someone her family has a great time with. Whether they are watching Notre Dame or Dolphins football or snuggling together in a mess of pillows and blankets for movie night, as long as the DeFreze family is together, that is all that matters.

Of course, what also matters is that Jackie is a loving and dedicated wife and mother and all four of them can count on her. For that, she is truly cherished.

“It certainly is not always perfect, but I’ll never give up on us. We don’t thank you enough for all that you do for us, and even when we do you don’t hear it! You are an incredible mother, an amazing chef and homemaker, and absolutely the only person who I would want to call my wife. You are my soulmate, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.” – Bobby
