“There’re things that are tough for me to say. All the little details that I want to acknowledge and appreciate what she does. I wanted to put it into writing. Something that can be hung up and cherished. She’s done a lot for me and for our daughter. She’s sacrificed. And I appreciate it.”
Sometimes, speaking the words can be difficult, especially when you are as grateful as Sam Tapia to be married to someone as amazing as his wife, Brittney Wagner-Tapia. That’s why Sam wanted to take this opportunity to show his wife just how much she really does mean to him.
From the moment Sam first met Brittney, he could tell she was a special soul. She was a no-nonsense kind of person who was devoted to the day-to-day grind of things, but at the same time she is a committed, compassionate individual with a whole lot of heart. The people who are in Brittney’s life are loved to the fullest extent by her.
Not only that, but Brittney is the kind of person you enjoy being around because she makes life fun and enjoyable.
“Brittney was definitely adventurous,” Sam said. “She has a no-fear spirit. She’s more risk-averse, but will take a shot and jump in where needed.”
Not to mention, Brittney’s extensive knowledge of Y2K-era country music is second to none. If it was released in the late ‘90s or early 2000s, the likelihood of her knowing the song is extremely high.
That great knowledge of country music goes along with the wits and smarts Brittney possesses as a whole. Brittney works as a mortgage loan officer, and legend has it that she was very disciplined in her academic career. This helped her get to the point she is at in her life and career, and Sam is consistently blown away by this.
Sam is also constantly blown away by Brittney’s exceptional abilities as a mother. She is the kind of mom who balances mama bear instincts with not over-coddling their 8-year-old, paving the way for their daughter to have confidence in life and have a regiment for true success in school and life.
“Brittney is committed to providing Olivia a good example of what it takes to succeed in the ventures that Olivia pursues,” Sam said.
Thanks to her mother, Olivia does well in school, and at the same time she does not walk all over her. She knows who is in charge, and she also knows there is nothing Brittney would not do for her.
“Brittney is open to listen and understand,” Sam said. “Brittney is definitely the one to listen to people. She will spend time on the phone. She’s definitely willing to lend an ear and be that shoulder to cry on. In public, she is pretty guarded. She takes cues from people. She has a way of seeing what people can do. She makes her own judgments. If they’re nice, she’s nice to them too. She’s not a pushover.”
Much like Brittney is a tremendous mother, she is a wonderful friend. She is the kind of friend that others trust and rely upon, and she is very much respected too. People know Brittney is always going to stand up for herself and her loved ones, and that she is someone you can count on to be there in times of need.
Sam also knows how fortunate Brian has been to have had her mother taken in by Brittney before she was born. Brittney takes care of Brian, Cake and Alice well and showers those cats with so much love and affection.
At the end of the day, it does not matter whether it is a cat, a family member or a friend, Brittney is going to be there for them. She is selfless in her ways and caring with her heart, and everyone in her life is truly appreciative of her.
“I appreciate all the little things that my wife does that seem to go unnoticed, but they do go noticed. I just get caught up in the daily routine of work and chores.” – Sam
